Ethics and Funding

Research and funding at DIPLOVA Institute are guided by our statements:

Statement on Intellectual Freedom

In line with our vision and mission, researchers, the executive team, and Honorary members of DIPLOVA Institute are free to develop their own ideas, concepts, and theories without interference. In particular, we maintain strict autonomy with regard to sponsored projects; donors and clients are contractually required to acknowledge and accept our intellectual independence before any project begins. Unless otherwise stated, the views expressed in our publications are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of our Advisory Board or those of our donors and/or sponsors. All research we undertake undergoes a rigorous peer-review process, involving both internal and external reviewers.

Statement on Funding

We do not accept funding from individuals, companies, institutions, or governments that we consider hostile to Indonesia or to countries committed to a free and open international order.

We respect reasonable requests from sponsors regarding anonymity and confidentiality, as long as they remain aligned with our principles of transparency and integrity. As a professionally managed organization, we ensure that all financial reports are prepared and disclosed in accordance with applicable rules and standards. At the same time, we prioritize a diverse range of funding sources to maintain financial independence and avoid overreliance on any single party. Our commitment to financial transparency serves as a key foundation in building and sustaining trust with the public and our partners.

DIPLOVA Institute is a youth-driven policy dialogue platform that bridges ideas, collaboration, and cultural diplomacy to strengthen Indonesia’s role in the global arena.
